Exactly- I liked Cupps, but we went all in on Shepphard and lost, let’s not do the same thing with Ty Davis/Ty Jerome clone.

Maybe I’ll be wrong but I’m not sweating Cupps. Don’t think he’ll stick at IU and will probably end up being a good A10ish level player at like Loyala on his second stop.

Outside of Duke, the ACC is not exactly hauling in copious amounts of talent. I like UVA (a lot, of course), UNC, ND, and UL’s 2023 classes, but none are ranked top 20 teamwise. And the rest of ACC schools are bleh or worse. Is this a long term problem?

Yes and no. 2022 the ACC had the most top 25 classes. But the SEC still had more 5 stars (Big 12 might’ve too) and top 50 players iirc

Kon Knueppell dropped 50 pts on a poor church league team. 10 of 21 from 3. His dad, same team, 2nd leading scorer with 37.
Seems defense is optional at best.
I think I mentioned it before his dad holds the record for most 3s made in a game for the TBT (that summer tournament with the ELAM ending that I hope UVA fields a team for next year).
