Dz is new, junior from NoVa. Maybe 6’5-6"? Don’t know much about him. Team overall might be a little more perimeter-focused this year.

I think he’s certainly worth keeping an eye on. I’m skeptical, but he’d be a home run.
He seems like he fits the “UVA to NBA” wing mold as much as anyone.
But yeah I’m going to guess we get Mallory and then a wing we haven’t heard of yet lol.

Didn’t Jemison say in one of these interviews he was waiting on an offer from UConn? Local kid too for them, always a chance that offer never comes but I imagine that would be tough to overcome.

In an audio interview with Proinsight yeah.
My hope is that we would sell him hard our wing development and lock it up before next spring (since he can reclass to 2024) before UConn even offers. Or if UConn offers they may be loaded at his position since they took several wings in 2023 and Isaiah Abraham in 2024.

I remember @HoozGotNext mentioning that TB had cooled on Wilkins for a few reasons, but one being he loved Jemison. Could be wrong there though.

I agree, but if Mallory doesn’t commit to UVa soon (as in before the New Year), then I suspect all of Virginia’s 2025 recruits will be prospects who “break out” during the AAU season. History would suggest that Virginia doesn’t fare especially well in long, drawn out recruitments. That said, history also suggest that Coach Bennett has a pretty good eye for late emerging talent. And, that is a good thing.

STAB (Chance Mallory/Austin Williford) playing Cannon which has top 50 Miami commit Austin Swartzz. And then the big event is Myers Park (north carolina) vs John Marshall out of Richmond (2026 offer Latrel Allmend and 2025 Marcus Jackson as an interesting player).
Tomorrow STAB plays Moravian Prep (el ellis). Assume this means Chance Mallory probably wont be taking an official here this weekend for the game
