šŸ› Introduction for new member (Hav's Playground)

Big Jims was in a location on 29 that now houses Canipe Brothers Bar and Grill. Never been. Back in the day, 89-93, Big Jims was a great place to get a huge, and great, hamburger. Was a good mix of townies and university crowd.

Hot Take: Whole thing is rigged. NCAA wants the story of Duke and Coach K for their last madness so they can sell the documentary to ESPN.

Obvious. Also would be the worst most contrived documentary since I Hate Christian Laettner

Everything still the same. Big Jim’s - Winky’s - Brother’s. Can still get a huge and great burger with a plate full of fries. (Have never lost a game at JPJ after a pre-game burger here.)

Kansas pulling way ahead in the voting. Move up and vote LRA. I said Kansas because they looked so good In the second half. Feel like they feel good. But luck and skill win in this tournament. It’s what makes it so great for all of us. We won one!!

I don’t trust those KS guards…

THIS is still the best play/buzzer beater in NCAA history…other than the Villanova game winner.

That game would have been an extra 25 minutes in todays replay world.

Confession:

I can’t stand this part of the season. The Forum is brutal right now in the absence of games. Not my thing when nobody is playing and we are only speculating on transfer portal issues.

I’m going to go to the DMV and just hangout there for fun…

@HoozGotNext and the rest of Forum will have you addicted to recruiting by summer live periods. watching grainy footage of AAU circuits just to see if Jay Willy or TB are in the gym

My personal favorite is when HGN posts a screen shot of some terrible AAU live feed where you can see somebody vaguely resembling Tony in the bleachers, and then we can all go ā€œOh man, this is the guy we’re prioritizing right now - lock him up Tony!ā€

I’m with @chavlicek15 this is the longest part of the season for me. HGN has gotten me more into recruiting etc. But I struggle to keep up with it.

If Havs is going to the DMV stop by on the way up and take me with you.

Cole slaw is overrated.

Tend to agree but very state dependendent. Not overrated in Tennessee

Ok, wow, people coming in with the hot takes today.

I honestly think whether coleslaw is underrated or overrated depends entirely on where you are from (both regionally and class wise). I’ve known a ton of fancy people I would say terribly underrate coleslaw. But its perpetual presence on every southern and midwestern menu also suggests it is definitely overrated by a large segment of the population (it’s definitely good sometimes, but it should’t be a staple).

Anyway, somebody pull up some analytics on this. We need to get into this.

Yeah, HGN personally makes the off-season overall interesting by making recruiting way more interesting.

But its obviously a lot less day-to-day punchy than the actual season (unless its the day a recruit is going to announce) and in particular this time of year is the absolute worst and even HGN can’t help with it. Games are done, tons of folks have announced for the portal and it feels like other teams are snapping them all up (they aren’t, but it feels like it), while we just glumly sit here waiting for the rest of the shoes to drop on who is leaving before CTB can get started in a public way on the transfers.

We’re actually really lucky London picked this week to make his announcement or this would all be even worse.

Super hot take from @DurtyNellys but I will say not all cole slaw is created equal.
