Another question for @HoozGotNext or anyone else: has there been any indication whether Kon Knueppel will set an announcement time, or whether he will simply announce his decision when he is ready? From everything printed thus far, I suspect the latter, but I really don’t know. Thanks to all as I wait with breathless, if not needless, anticipation. 
It feels wildly improbable that Hauser can guard NBA’s 2s.

I don’t see him setting a time and giving his announcement a big online presence (it’ll have one of course), not his style - that said, even if he’s decided, an announcement on a Thursday feels unlikely - my guess is sometime Sat or Sun, if its to be within the next week. All speculation…

Sure looks like Tony sitting all alone in a nearly empty gym. Tony REALLY wants Kon. I hope Kon chooses us and that Tony’s effort gets rewarded.
Reminds me of the story of Al Groh watching Ahmad Brooks’ practice in the pouring rain on a random Tuesday night. Al got Ahmad. I hope Tony gets Kon.

This is in fact the main reason I want Kon*. Because Tony clearly wants him bad, and he’s worked so hard to get him… and I want Tony to be happy coaching basketball at the University of Virginia.
*There are obviously lots of other good reasons too

Yeah. Feels like Kon would be a kid that would keep Tony coaching a few more years. The flipside is him going elsewhere but destroy Tony’s soul after what he’s put in.

I’ve got Art Heyman mixed with Matt Blundin and throw a little Cloris Leachman in there.

My player comp for Kon is who he is going to grow into is Larry Bird. He’s not as tall but has the same traits that Bird has

Kon is a bit of a plodder getting up and down the court. This is one recruitment where our deliberate style may be an advantage. Just don’t see him doing well in run and gun style at Alabama or Duke.

I had the option to take a 5th year, and was leaning towards doing it, but by my early 4th year I was just ready to get on with my life. Not that I didn’t like UVA, but my friends were graduating and I wanted to go make a paycheck. The couple folks I knew who stuck around CVille after our class graduated were pretty bored and lonely that next year or two.

If the younger players can be a little patient, the roster construction is about as good as it gets in the NIL/transfer age:
Bliss, Gertrude, Bond, Cofie, Buchanan, Robinson, and (hopefully) KK would form a core 7-man rotation with complementary skills. If they get old together at UVA, the possibilities are promising.
