Not that I’m aware of. But that’s normal. It’s the season. I’ve found that to be the hardest thing to get fans to accept, that the season is a non-event for recruiting. Nothing will change between now and April. Everything coaches do between is just about preparing for that next stage.

Because the season hadn’t started yet and I was extrapolating off of 86 minutes of game time. Having now seen how much he has to grow offensively? I now expect Kadin to use his normally scheduled 5th year and go to the NBA after that.

Fifth years don’t typically get drafted. I think it’s more realistic for Kadin to flash like Murphy did and then get drafted on his measurables and potential. If he ever gets drafted at all

Yea but more undrafted players than ever are making the league. Whether he gets drafted or not I expect Kadin to stick based off his athleticism, fluidity on defense, and shot blocking. Always a role for a backup 5 who can come in and provide a defensive lift.
But coaches still visit kids in-season. I saw JWilly at Norfolk Academy for a game in Mark Williams’ junior season.
Sounds like he wants to commit on Christmas. Also those quotes are pretty convincing.

Any speculation why there are no crystal balls (for us or anyone else), all schools are listed as "cool, " and UVA is not even listed as having offered London Johnson on 247 sports? The lack of interest by the recruiting experts seems curious for a top 25 player who’s about to announce.
Any good quotes for those of us who aren’t subscribed?

Heh, fair point. I didn’t want to read anything into Sheppard doting on the local media and orthodontic experts, but perhaps there’s something here… If London Johnson starts doing ads for braces in central VA we will know for sure we have our lead guard of the future…

Better yet would be ads for ED medication and beef jerky, for which Johnson has a very marketable last name, since I believe we’ve got a warehouse of that stuff as champions of the Roman Legends Classic tournament.
