Tu you think it’s the kids that are already ready for the NBA or do you think Duke makes a big difference in their 1 year development?

By the way Justin Taylor have been thinking about reclassifying. It got put out there by accident and than tried tu recover. Tu be honest transferring HS and reclassifying is all you hear at these games.
I think most of their fr would have been NBA draft picks if they could go in the draft after HS. Its going tu take a 5 star player with guts tu take a chance with TB. Let me share one thing about yesterday. People in the circle somehow heard what Your boy Williford said. Williford talked about reigning Jabri in some and putting it out there that Even if he is great on offense. UVA will not play him much if his defense is lacking. This type of talking destroys UVA with coaches and inner circles. This is what I hear and trust me I fight back. Even tho they have a point. UVA is all about defense. Their practice is spent on 85% defense. They dont fucus on offense enough and this is why they struggle tu score at times. Their defense tire out their players and it effect their offense. Their players are always thinking on the court when they are on offense or taking a shot. They are worried about taking a great shot instead of being instinctive. Or they are worried about being pulled out the game after a non great shot they took. UVA is making a great offensive player like Jabri turn intu a player that will question his shots.
I look at Joe and Malcolm and I cant believe how well they are playing on offense. Malcolm ball handling is top ten in the league and he is a offensive nightmare. Joe Harris has been an allstar in the bubble and I never saw him go tu the hole like he is doing now. So I kind of agree with a few of their points but I still fight. LOL
With a defense like ours, a little freedom on offense could be tolerated without consequence
I heard that interview and I don’t think that is really what he said. He raved about his offensive ability but said about all three of them that they need to improve defensively. I am pretty sure that he didn’t say that Jabri would play much. I think last year TB was not as quick to pull someone after a mistake. Especially Huff early in the season and I think it paid off having him play through his mistakes and not be as nervous about being yanked.

I agree, Tu! I don’t want him either and feel as if he will be poison for our program. Just my opinion. I feel to a degree there are indications that we have moved on to a degree but will take the high road. My opinion only! I don’t have any inside info.
TB focuses and develops offensive efficiency with his players. Therefore, the ones that get it are starting to excel once in the NBA. This is what the NBA GMs are starting to take notice of since that is a focus in the league.
This is exactly the way I see it Tu. What I love about TB is he completely trusts what they do along with his staff and all recent players that I have talked to trust it as well. I would say one thing I would question from far is the communicating of it all. Do they sit a guy like Jabri down and really explain it all or does it just play out in practice and the guy has to wait for the proverbial light bulb to turn on and it all clicks. Devon Hall really figured it out and my guess he is not a pro coming from any school but UVa. He even mentioned once on pack line how when you figure it out you learn how to cheat in the system. That wont happen in the 1st two years for anyone I think

Foresthoo, I don’t think it started out this way. However, there are indications that his father has steered the recruitment in a different direction. Without being specific and Tu has also hinted there are characteristics of Keels that are not indicative of a Tony Bennett recruit.

I don’t get the thought process that Keels is somehow a problem because he’s not announcing where he’s going fast enough. It’s only August. We’re pretty spoiled as Virginia fans with rarely being involved in what’s really is a very normal recruitment timeline. By all accounts, great family, and a guy that’s about the right stuff. Yeah he likes to jerk fans around a little on Instagram. I guess that could rub some the wrong way. I kinda enjoy it myself. And I don’t even understand what people are hinting about his dad. He just wants what’s best for his son.
Now Keels not committing yet is definitely a problem for UVA’s chances lol No denying that. I figure we have another month in our realistic window tops.

Recruitment could stay open longer. Virginia coming out on top after that is pretty unlikely.

Plenty. True enough. But then again, CTB isn’t recruiting me or you. Hey, I’ll let it go. Maybe it’s also a generational thing. I confess to the obvious – I’m not “social media” literate. At least “you know who” hasn’t gone the Warley Instagram snub route – that was clarifying – made me pleased he was going elsewhere. And, to be clear, Hamilton is a great coach/dude, and I hope the kid excels down there.
Just not the type of kids we are used to in our program. There are other options.
