Said in the other thread but a little surprised no love for Armaan as he is having a great season when you think of his multiple 20 point efforts and overall percentages on the best team in the league.

Agreed. He should have at least been honorable mention, and arguably 3rd team. Both Kihei and Reece should have been 2nd team over the NCSU gunners as well. But overall, the awards went about as expected - tilted in favor of players who score a lot and play in NC.

I think the other issue is media types who don’t watch games go “UVA’s guards are good this year… who are the guards again? Oh Reece and kihei of course” without thinking that we play 3 guards

My last year I was All ACC Honorable mention. I think then all that took was one person Voting for you. Will always be an Life mystery to me as to whom gave me that vote

Everyone just accepted that a foul occurred on that play. I’m biased but I really don’t think Reece fouled the guy. The clock controversy caused everyone to ignore the actual play.

The really weird part of it is that, in the official record, Reece didn’t foul the guy; the initial foul call was on Dunn. But the discussion on this got so completely jumbled by early takes that it’ll never be untangled now.

But seriously, I think Armaan should have gotten some all-defense love. Perimeter defenders who don’t get steals or blocks often get shorted by the awards process, but he was real good this year.
