Agreed. He should have at least been honorable mention, and arguably 3rd team. Both Kihei and Reece should have been 2nd team over the NCSU gunners as well. But overall, the awards went about as expected - tilted in favor of players who score a lot and play in NC.
I think the other issue is media types who donāt watch games go āUVAās guards are good this year⦠who are the guards again? Oh Reece and kihei of courseā without thinking that we play 3 guards
My last year I was All ACC Honorable mention. I think then all that took was one person Voting for you. Will always be an Life mystery to me as to whom gave me that vote
Jerry Lindquist, Doug Doughty, Dave Johnson, or David Teel.
A few years later, and it might have been Andrew Joyner.
Funny cause there was a dude from Raleigh who wrote me an actual letter after. He was really complimentary etc. Always suspected was him
Andrew J for sure! That dude is the best
The really weird part of it is that, in the official record, Reece didnāt foul the guy; the initial foul call was on Dunn. But the discussion on this got so completely jumbled by early takes that itāll never be untangled now.
Iām still mad Vander Plas didnāt win DPOY.
Heās a really good defensive rebounder!
But seriously, I think Armaan should have gotten some all-defense love. Perimeter defenders who donāt get steals or blocks often get shorted by the awards process, but he was real good this year.
DROY= Defensive Rebounder of the Year
Just grateful they didnāt screw REECE out of two in a row.
I bet if you asked Teel, heād just know who it was.
What Clemson alum was put in charge of making this video

Reminds me of Sam Cassel back in his FSU days in the ACC
Once you figure that mystery out, can you find out who cast this yearās vote for Jeremy Roach as ACC Player of the Year?
Probly the same dude that gave me a Vote!
