No inside knowledge but he’d get plenty of run next year. If he does leave for Creighton I wonder if it would moreso be to go home. Still doubt it though.

My guess is it’s somewhere in the middle. I think he was probably a little annoyed about it at first and may even regret it as I do think he’d be in the rotation. But I bet he’s getting a lot of good work in, Bond has been a positive influence to tackle the work with a good attitude. I’m sure Traudt watched BVP brick 3’s, Shedrick with whatever the hell is happening there and goes, “I should’ve played but I’ll get some good run next year”. Maybe he does go to Creighton and I’ll eat my words, but I’m guessing this is where things are at

I’d understand a transfer if we got TJ Power or were bringing in other frontcourt transfers, but why leave now when tons of playing time is available. Maybe he’s home sick or doesn’t like our system, but going to Creighton isn’t going to give him more PT

Fair. To be honest I’d fully sympathize with Traudt being frustrated with how this has gone down with the BVP situation. Especially if there is truth to him looking way more dominant than BVP in Italy

A buddy who follows Creighton asked me about this the other day. The local radio personality mentioned it first. He didn’t put much stock in it. Since then it’s been message board fodder for them - an echo chamber.
For what it’s worth, there were a series of similar rumors among Creighton fans before the season started about Traudt. Didn’t come to pass.

Then yes I would sympathize with him being frustrated that he turned down the other big time schools to come here and then Tony “recruited over” him with BVP then red shirted Traudt and now BVP is injured
Didn’t Traudt’s Dad say it was his decision / family decision? Definitely sounded on both sides different than other redshirts in the past.

The thing about Traudt that concerns me more than if he is/isn’t bothered by the RS, is that his girlfriend goes to Creighton (plays VB there).

Tony wasn’t planning to redshirt him. Traudt literally came to Tony after the first game and said I’m redshirting.

That was the main thing brought up from the people on Nebraska/Creighton message boards who claimed to be in the know about this. According to them it’s got nothing to do with redshirting, he just wants to be with his GF.
Hauser made me stop worrying about girlfriends when he came here over Wisconsin (his gf was a star on their volleyball team). Especially if the gf is also a high level athlete. World is smaller than it was 20 years ago
