I can see why some people are uncomfortable with joking around about a 19yo’s life choices. Fair enough. But I think all this convo boils down to:
- We don’t want to lose Traudt! Please stay! We love you, man.
(Related: 1b. We don’t want to lose Kadin! Please stay! We love you too, man.) - We don’t want the coaching staff to be doing anything that decreases player retention, whether that happens due to redshirting, extremely limited minutes, or “recruiting over them” with 1-to-2-year transfers. The portal is a thing now, we have to adjust.

Bennett worked hard to keep Thompson.
