I raised it, so fair if I address it. I don’t know, tbh, and I should be clear about my lack of knowledge here. I’ve whined about money going into nice stuff for athletes rather than just money for athletes, but that period is passing away, and I think was thinking about that in this context. I haven’t been familiar with what’s going on much on campus (yes, campus) since May of 99. So let me just retreat to this. Kadin’s going to get a McIntire degree: great! Kadin kicked serious ass against our two best opponents: great! Kadin has senior night, ACCT, and NCAAT to continue kicking ass. Go Hoos!

kinda funny - he was a wing til his junior year in high school

My eye test and multiple sources around the program said that he was actually more ready than Dunn in November - but was a whole year younger … would have been hard to redshirt an already older Dunn.
Dude can lock down the 2-4 spots defensively and is smooth with it from 12-18 feet.

Brownell knows more than I thought. not easy being a semi big time coach

Alright that’s enough from our New York contingent. This place gonna start sounding like a Duke board with all this NYC love.

Even on the slim chance we lose Beekman, Franklin, Shedrick & Murray, in addition to Clark, Gardner, BVP & Caffaro, we still could roll out a starting 5 of 4 **** players, and a PG with P6 starting experience and a Big East tournament MVP, and have 2 **** reserves without even touching the portal. Which obviously in that situation, we would.

We gotta get the NYC chatter in during the season, because once recruiting starts, it’s all Wisconsin chatter all the time.

Not like NYC has ever produced a basketball player.

Also fried cheese curds > whatever the hell a chopped cheese is

Good in season coach. Horrible recruiter

I think he’s better than the average replacement coach that Clemson could get in the current landscape. Though not good enough that Clemson doesn’t eventually get itchy and replace him.

Don’t know that I’d call Brownell a horrible recruiter. Clemson has been a tough sell for basketball, throughout its history. How many great players in any era can you name? And in fairness to Brownell, he might have landed Zion if Duke hadn’t shown up with a satchel full of cash.

My UVa era coincided with the Rick Barnes era there, so I remember them having really good talent. To be fair, I couldn’t remember any of them without going onto sports reference. But they had some NBA players in that era.
