Tend to agree if Giannis and Malcolm really gelled and were tight he would have remained a Buck, but they weren’t clicking on the court at that max level, and Brogs had better opportunities to grow as a player elsewhere. Add all that up and he’s on the move. I also won’t fault him for getting paid while landing in a pretty interesting spot in Indy. The Bucks feel like Philly lite to me. They have some great pieces, but they don’t have all the pieces and it seems like ownership is unaware of how to get the right pieces. The result is you see some great players twiddling away their primes on massively under achieving teams. This is why we have super teams now.
Looks like Justin James was sent along with the Bogdanovic sign & trade. He was drafted with Kyle.
Kings get Divincenzo as part of the trade so not sure that Kyle moves up much on the depth chart.
Thought the main reason Malcolm wanted out of Milwaukee was off the court? Unless it was just as an excuse from Bucks management and fans. But I recall reading Malcolm did not like living there and wouldn’t resign and that’s why he left more than any issue with his on court role or chemistry with Giannis.
He criticized the city for being racist and segregated, and certain Bucks fans spun that as he hated Milwaukee as a city. But things have also come out after the fact which said that he wanted the opportunity to play pg but they were set with bledsoe so he knew that wasn’t going to happen there.
Ty needed a fresh start, out of Phoenix. With the Thunder, he’s got that and more:

Flashback to baby Mamadi
I fell down a youtube wormhole. This is still the most Mamadi interview ever, just fantastic.
Edit: Embedding is disabled. It’s the Daft Express interview from Adidas Nations 2015 when he committed.
That’s great HGN. As good a player as he was I’m probably gonna miss that personally and smile the most.Im no talent expert but I truly believe someone will get the steal of the draft tonight with Mamadi
Personality dammit
Do we know if Justin has signed anywhere? He put that tweet a few days ago that he has posted in the past when he’s signed, but haven’t heard anything since.
Nothing has been reported about Justin signing. I suspect there might be something there but not official.
Salt signing with the New Zealand team that Wilkins played with a couple years ago. Also the league Taine Murray averaged 17pg this past season.
Occasionally I tweet something that looks good in hindsight.
How many guys from next year’s draft do you think would’ve gone ahead of Edwards? I’m guessing at a minimum Cunningham and Green but I’ve seen some people say as many as 5 or 6 guys from next year’s class are better than every player in this class.
Yeah Cunningham for sure. I don’t know I’m a big Ant believer. Think that pick is gonna look just fine.
Patrick Williams at #4 overall, wow. Good for him. He wasn’t in some top 100 rankings when UVA offered his final Spring. I had to hit up his AAU coach to admit that they offered. He never announced it. He was like oh yeah I think UVA did jump in. Got back a little later. Yeah they offered, He forgot. Wasn’t a good sign for us. lol
The presentation of this draft is so boring and sterile. I know it’s hard given the pandemic, but this is so much less entertaining than the NFL draft, which was also done without fans and with players in their homes. I’m struggling to remember exactly what the NFL did to make it more interesting, but it worked better than this.
Not concerned about his inefficiency at Georgia? I never know what to make about that as it could easily be a product of being on a bad team with an unstructured coach.
I don’t know that I ever watched a Georgia game last year. Just saw a lot of him that last summer when UVA was recruiting Chase Hunter.
Glad to see Okoro off the board before the Hawks pick.
