Yeah he needs a restart somewhere on the West Coast. And he needs to take his free throw shooting seriously this off season. If this wasn’t a humbling enough 2 weeks for him then he will never get better.
Shaking my head on this one… he and thybulle would be the right defensive combo to stop trae… or at least chase him off the line and let him have his 2’s… but you can’t do that as they would hack Ben and send him to the line…I have not watched trae that much this year… but this whole series he has leveraged every advantage possible… come out and guard him deep…aight I will drive… come over with embiid to help out and protect the rim… aight I will lob it to the roller… that was the whole series along how tough Collins and Capela were on the boards, converting lobs and making clutch shots…this is why superstars make the nba… trae is an elite finisher and playmaker
Yup Trae found all the advantages and even tonight he was ice cold all game and still found a way in the end.
For Simmons he went 7 games this series and he took THREE shots in the 4th quarter. That’s all 7 games combined.
Think about that
Rivers just happy Ben can be the scape goat lol (and rightfully so).
Just saw that interview and River’s did everything but tell him pack his bags
You answered your own question: he’s not.
Yeah, until you get to that moment it can be hard to tell. I grew up a Kings fan, and the Chris Webber led teams were surprisingly good during the regular season. But then they ran into the Lakers, who were clearly inferior during the regular season, but were playoff-seasoned while the Kings weren’t. Every game, the Kings would get out to a solid 3Q lead but then they’d all start tightening up and in Q4 Webber looked desperate for anyone else to take the shots.
Sacramento as a city has a huge inferiority complex towards LA overall, but especially in hoops. Watching them piss away a series they should have won comfortably was agonizing.
I haven’t really tracked the NBA for years until the past couple given all of the Hoos in the league. But how was Simmons ever considered a star? The dude can’t shoot.
I don’t really believe in conspiracies for the most part, but as a huge fellow fan of those Kings teams… there was some suspicious reffing going on in the Lakers series the year the Kings should have won it all. Your points are totally right but… I really did think the Kings were the better team that year and got at least a little screwed over.
That said, if Divac just swats that rebound to literally anywhere except straight to Horry… ugh.
Lol, yeah. Freaking Horry.
I agree that the reffing went LA’s way, but I watched the last 4 games of that series with my wife’s extended family (mostly big hoops fans, particularly for UConn. Her uncle had this incredible baritone voice and apparently announced a bunch of their football games when he was younger). They were sympathetic toward my plight, but broadly agreed it was a sad combination of the Lakers being clutch down the stretch and the Kings choking their asses off. If a fix was in, the Kings players had to have been in on it given how they played.
Has Igor even arrived in Cville yet? Haven’t seen any news of him or anything in social media.
I believe because of the European school schedules and maybe basketball committments Igor isn’t supposed to arrive until August.
If true, I don’t understand. Why not at least trade him?

So it’s a Twitter account saying that sources are telling other sources (and not the Twitter account) that Ty is getting waived. This doesn’t pass the smell test
Even if it were true he’d get picked up I think
Yeah, I mean Ty played well for OKC. I don’t get it.
How on earth did you find this tweet this dude has 168 followers lmao
Lol. You don’t follow him?
Did a Ty Jerome search. I was curious is there was any discussion about him being part of a trade if Philly is going to be shopping around for a point guard.
Yeah I dont get that either. They guaranteed the rest of his years beginning or near beginning of season? Why not toss him in a trade rather than have to pay him the $4 million out of pocket? Has to be a fake rumor or something.
Yeah there’s no way that’s real. That account seems to be the offshoot of some guy who streams 2K so its probably related to something that happened on his stream or something. Ty definitely has some trade value I highly doubt they’d waive him.
Believe OKC has a team option for Ty if they want it. Hes a bit of a steal believe only around a 1.5 or 2 mil cap hit. That said OKC has stock piled so many picks i wouldn’t be surprised if they cut or waive the whole roster
