🙄 No Holds Barred Thread - A Haney/DavetheWave Production

My sons and I just got the home jersey’s in the mail yesterday. My daughter is stoked that the away kit is pink… she wore it all day yesterday.

We lived about an hour away from Fulham and Broadway when we lived in England. Funny area… with QPR just 10 blocks north and Chelea’s Emirates stadium just 10 blocks east.

I also think it is ironic they have normally the cheapest game day tickets, but are normally the most expensive kit to purchase.

Their first game they’ve had some pretty shaky defense… Tim Ream got a suspect penalty called on him this past weekend against Brentford, but overall 1-0-1 in the first two weeks isn’t bad. I think they hit the buzz saw again this weekend against Arsenal especially without Ream in the back anchoring the defense.

Yeah, they haven’t looked solid. They have some injuries in the midfield and they need to find a replacement for Mitro that can score some goals. They’ve looked disjointed, and they have a tough start. Hopefully they get healthy and play like they did last year.

I think Raúl will be fine up top once he gets his sea legs at Fulham.

Who do you all support in the Bundesliga?

BVB, though if St Pauli ever make it back to the Bundesliga, I’ll root for them.

Have you ever been? Funny location in Hamburg.

Borussia is a good choice… they choked last season on that last game. I could NOT believe that final day of games. I was screaming at the TV because Bayern does not deserve to win every year. :frowning:

I don’t really have a Bundesliga club. Growing up in Chicago most of my club coaches were from Germany and I remember that a few of them had played for some clubs in Germany. I think Gruner Furth was one of the clubs, but I can’t remember. So, I need to visit Germany so I can form an attachment to a mid-table club or something.

1.FC Kaiserslautern… good team in the 2.Bundesliga!

I haven’t been to Hamburg (but would like to go), mostly chose them off their vibes/culture.

St Pauli is the Red Light District of Hamburg… but also has a football club and a brewery (St Pauli Girl).

At Christmas they have a big animatronic Santa that slowly loses his pants down to his boxers because it is the Red Light District. Haha!

Other than that… i love Hamburg.

Germany has soccer?

Have never gotten attached to a single team, but have always had a soft spot for the Berlin squads - Hertha and Union. One of the few European leagues where teams from the capital aren’t dominant (or even particularly good). Aside from them, also like Köln. And if I’m picking one of the bigger guys, Dortmund.

(it’s kind of something I’ve noticed about the Morey-ball kind of thing – sometimes good goals don’t make good tactics)
