Think Hamiltons is open but mostly does like events now? Went to a rehearsal dinner in the space not long ago, seemed like the same food.
Hamiltons was the first decent meal I had after a couple months of only OHill when my first year roommateâs parents came to visit and took us there. At the time I remember thinking it was the best meal Iâd ever had lol. Purely a result of recency bias and comparison to whatever slop Aramark was doling out.

Similar situation for me. First âfancyâ place Iâd ever been to on my own. And tbh maybe even with my folks. Our fancy meals were mostly like Ruby Tuesday or Italian. (And to be clear, not criticizing my folks - theyâd have been wasting their $$)

That guac at La Has was S-tier
Hamiltonâs was our familyâs âspecial eventâ go-to for years. Graduations, anniversaries etc.

I remember taking a date to Rococoâs back in my school days. That was a fancy upgrade for me at the time.
I visited a friend back in 2000 or 2001 and we and our girlfriends at the time went to a restaurant in a converted gas station/auto service center. I think it was between central grounds and the downtown mall, maybe near the train station. I canât remember the name of the place to save my life though.

Probably Fuel Co? It was located just east of the downtown mall. It was started by Patricia Kluge after her divorce from billionaire John Kluge. She also started a winery which Trump purchased in foreclosure and became Trump winery.

Is the Charlottesville La Hacienda related to the La Hacienda in Midlothian (Richmond area, Chesterfield County)?

They closed the restaurant and were transitioning to space to a market with some grab-and-go food. Same people, I believe, though I havenât seen anything about timeline. They had a soft opening planned for end of June, but postponed it and havenât rescheduled yet.
