Me earlier today: Woah Texas A&M winning is solid for our NET ranking.

Me now: UVA basketball existing is bad for it’s own NET ranking.

Also man all these “bubble” teams pulling off upsets. We are gonna be nowhere near.

He and Disu both at the 5? If so, Shedrick isn’t going be seeing the floor much, as Disu is playing very well. Also, his stats are skewed by good performances in buy games; performances versus high-major opponents not so much.

Maryland upsets Illinois at home; I had to do a double take on that score. I realize Illinois is playing without Shannon, but they have been playing very well regardless.

Maryland is struggling with very similar offensive woes as us, so miracles can happen.

Okay, this is really “Outside the ACC basketball” but I was wondering if anybody else finds the Charles Barkley commercial about the pickup game on the playground with the young kids as funny as I do. Can’t see this one without chuckling out loud.

I know Arkansas won, but the Muss bus needs some time in the shop. They’ve had the 5th highest drop from preseason in T-Rank among high major teams, 2nd highest in EvanMiya’s ratings. Though looking that up reminded me that UCLA is having the season from hell.

Also noticed this while looking through the charts you can make on Torvik: Louisville has the 3rd highest talent rating (I think this is just a HS recruiting rank composite, not sure if it gets weighted at all by year) after Duke and UNC. Lol.

Beat two ranked teams and lost nail biters to Baylor and Texas. The big12 is a bloodbath this year

Just eyeballing things, I think each Big 12 team has a minimum of like 10 Q1 conference games, maybe more.

It’s not a serious program. They beat a team coached by Jamie Dixon ranked in the high teens — a game they were favored to win, oh by the way — and stormed the court. Not a serious program.

I’d take blue bloods vs the field this year, if I get to define UConn as a blue blood. UConn, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC.

Not to play down our struggles, but look at this list and the amount of talent oozing from these rosters.

Sometimes I’m like “why can’t we get it together,” then I look at our roster and youth compared to these teams and I’m like “ohhhhh.”
