The thing is, JMU doesn’t play another top-200 team (KenPom) until January. So they could stay undefeated without doing anything of note beyond that MSU win, and the voters may feel compelled to keep laddering them up and up into the Top 10

What concerns me with Texas A&M is how relentless they are on the pressure defense. Reminds me of peak FSU teams, that FSU team we lost to in the acc tourney 2019.

They will straight up perimeter trap mckneely running off a screen in mover blocker. Definitely ball screen offense/flow/ 5 out/ anything that gets us downhill to punish that pressure.

Put our players in better positions to make plays

Was gonna comment about how Memphis is concerning due to how much size they have at almost every position, but they got dominated on the boards in their win over Michigan. Maybe it won’t be as big of a problem as I thought, though they present plenty of other issues past that.

See like the pressure D is rough to execute against, but when you force the issue you can cause Texas A&M to break down and there are 1-2 guys open. But that requires us forcing the issue and attacking. And we already have a more passive mindset on roster + passiveness ingrained in mover blocker waiting for people to run off screens.

Texas A&M’s best offense is Henry Coleman “and 1”. Also you can play Buchanan vs Coleman since coleman isn’t a floor spacer.
