Outside UVa Recruiting

Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

It’s just too hard to compete with what Purdue has to offer – great hoops, at the highest level, and always get your final 4 weekend free to make plans. At most great hoop schools, you’d have to worry that if you made plans that weekend, you couldn’t keep them.

Because he committed to Purdue, he’ll hit another growth spurt to be 7’4

I think he chose Purdue over us since they were the more recent 1-16 seed upset. We seem to be In the “what haven’t you done lately” category so Purdue is an obvious choice without considering Getter.

Maybe he just likes Ohio.

Why would he choose a school in Indiana then? LOL!

Everything between Virginia and Wisconsin, which is part of Virginia according to Tony Bennett, is Ohio.

Oh yeah? I have a 9 year old that doesn’t understand any US geography at all! Take that!

She thinks the civil war is the War of the Roses between the Lancasters and the Yorks. Hahaha!

Everything being Ohio is funny @WFS_HOO… because really everything was Virginia…

I mean in 1611 Virginia WAS the USA…

Curious, is there any particular etiquette among coaches leaving a program on friendly terms and continuing to recruit the same players for a different school? It has to be a little weird selling one school on Saturday and then a competing school on Monday.

Apparently not.

I would guess many coaches wouldn’t miss a beat. And not even necessarily in a super-slick, fake kind of way; coaching is so high-turnover and laddered that they are probably used to making a job change and figuring out quickly how to pitch their new place to recruits.

“I joined [Program B] because I’m excited about the vision [Coach B] has and I think you’ll fit in perfectly there.”

My soon to be 8 year old watches YouTube videos of some guy playing Grand Theft Auto that goes to Ohio and things get all weird. Now he thinks Ohio is the funniest shit ever. He nearly lost it when I told him I know real people in Ohio and have been there.
