His “edits” suck and now he’s not even getting the school right. I’m old and blissfully out of touch, but why does every kid go with him for the biggest announcement of their lives? He can’t be the only person doing them. Does he have some sort of “clout” that for some reason matters to these kids?

You know I am very curious about this years VT bball team… their fans think their conference floor is 14-6… I honestly don’t think that roster with the turnover they had is really a 5th place team as the media has predicted… I would be shocked if their ceiling was 12-8… curious as to what others think… I tip my hat to Aluma but other than him and maybe Cattoor… who they got?

Think they’ll be right in the middle of the ACC pack. Somewhere in that 10-10 to 12-8 range. Probably knock off enough of the top dogs to make the tournament. Young is a very good offensive coach and Aluma and Mutts is a strong front court but I think people are underestimating the step back they are going to take defensively without Bede and Radford.

5th is about where VT should be preseason. Storm Murphy is a really good point guard transfer. Nobody beyond Aluma is likely to be drafted, and he’s border line 2nd round. But they have a lot of experience returning, and several good to very good players. 5th place with a standard deviation of three places is a good spot for them, particularly given that the ACC is still down talent-wise

Mutts is good. Murphy the transfer will be better offensively than Bede but much worse defensively. They’ll have plenty of shooters so always a dangerous team but I agree that Tech fans are getting way ahead of themselves. A 10 seed and first round ACC and NCAA exit, plus what games they avoided on the schedule, doesn’t scream a team that should be as hyped as they are but guess we’ll see. Tech fans love being disappointed so it’s kinda funny to see them have high aspirations

I always assumed Cupps would go to Ohio State but looking at the rosters, it’ll probably be Indiana. GW3 could be the guy for OSU, think he’s more the type of guard they have in mind for '23. Seems like a good fit with Holtmann too. .
