I think he went into the year as a OAD, at least that was his expectation.

Yep, the main reason he went to Duke.

Does that school even prioritize players that don’t think of themselves as OAD?

So, he met the expectation? If that’s what he wants? But maybe he’s changed his mind?

I’m not sure I follow your point.

My point is… Keels and his camp thought he would be higher up on the draft board.

He’s like winning the lottery for VT. Great college player with career longevity because of his limited pro potential. Somewhat similar to Gardner for us

Torvik’s preseason ratings already had Wong factored into coming back, so Miami stays at #23.

Same with NC State, his ratings currently assume Seabron and Smith back, so they stay at #69 (basically because they were atrocious on defense last year and his ratings think it will improve some, but only to an average level).

His ratings had VT at #37, but if you use the Rostercast tool to add Mutts in, they jump up to #25.

I like Mutts as a played. Will be interesting to see him without Aluma, I know Tech fans felt he disappeared a lot in games. Their starting 5 will be pretty solid but with little depth

Interesting with all that Arkansas added and their amazing offseason… these projections have them at #18

Bart looooves continuity

Yeah he was pretty bad in game. Some nice pieces but lost a lot of depth.

As said above, continuity (of good players) tends to factor positively into team performance, and Arkansas is pretty low on continuity, both in terms of returning minutes and in terms of players being experienced.

A weirder case is West Virginia, which has almost no continuity, and not super highly talented, even with their transfers, but comes out well in the preseason ratings.
