Outside UVa Recruiting

Tech has really benefited from the extra covid year because they don’t produce NBA guys but have a good culture. Still I contend no one should be able to play college basketball long enough to get 4 degrees but more power to him I guess. His future is abroad so why not stick around another year.

Maybe they’ll win a NCAA tournament game this year. Maybe

Florida State it is. 6’11 with a 7’2 wingspan. Because of course.

Also a discussion for another thread, but how the hell did we get Kadin? 6’11 with a 7-4/7-5 wingspan is nuts. Dude is gonna lead the nation in blocks this year (which is essentially his redshirt sophomore year with the covid year).

Well, I guess I won’t hear anything about him again until he transfers in a year or two. Good luck at DePaul (also known as the college basketball pit of darkness)!

Apparently the the commitment today isn’t final and he’s still open to suitors and Duke is now contacting his camp. A final decision expected at the end of peach jam. Also the pro offer is real and he’s consdering it before trying toget drafted after one year.

…what?

I still don’t get why we didn’t go after him. This seems like exactly the type of recruitment we love to get involved in!

So, he’s a blue demon looking to upgrade to blue devil?

He’s an international recruit so no NIL involved. lol

So today he decided anywhere but Maryland

Apparently Maryland is still in the hunt trying as well but why would he flip to Maryland when he could have just done that today lol.

Not sure how much y’all are following this, but Cam Whitmore (2022 Villanova Commit) is going to be a problem. Dude is playing in an official FIBA tournament (U18 Americas) and it looks like Zion in a high school game lol

Is this a first?

Down-transfer into up-transfer beyond any level he’s played at before is probably a pretty unique pattern too.

colleges have GM’s now? I mean I knew NIL had created a theoretical “salary cap” but now I guess everyone’s being open about it :joy:

See it in football but it’s wild in basketball when there are only 13 spots
