McNeil was one UVA almost surely would have gone for. He had a big JUCO season, started getting a lot of attention. This was during UVA’s championship year. They would have been interested to potentially replace Kyle Guy. WVU closed the door before we ever got to that. Ended up with Tomas Woldetensae.

Exactly. Seems you misunderstand your own stat. Obviously a player who only takes wide open shots or passes it to someone immediately will have a lower turnover rate than someone who has to make plays for others. It’s built into the role. If you don’t have an extremely low turnover rate in that role you are just a bad basketball player.
