Not that surprising, it seems like he wasn’t a huge part of the team’s plans going forward. It’s a shame Carson didn’t work out here — I remember being very excited about him coming out of high school. Had some awesome bench celebrations at least. He’s also a guy I would love to see have a big role on a more free-flowing offensive team — it’d be cool to root for, and having the ball in his hands & more of a green light might help unlock Carson’s game. As @paperboy mentioned, opens up a scholarship for us moving forward this offseason.
Hoo was a fit with Clark hogging 37 min a game the last 3 years?
Not a great look when we’ve only retained two recruits from the 2018, 2019 & 2020 classes combined.
And portal season isn’t over yet but reason to believe it could look even worse if we see attrition in 2021 as well.
I think most expected McCorkle to transfer. It sounds like Murray will be back based on posts a few days ago. Any whispers one way or the other regarding Milicic or an unexpected name?
Attrition isn’t a bad thing though in terms of what we lose. Just moreso in how we could have better used those roster spots in the moment.
Reece Kadin and the 2022s are our core. Jayden and Armaan help bandage some of the immediate needs and we could always use 2-3 more high ceiling pieces.
Was literally going to post him @Richan34 but didn’t want it to get lost in the other hubahaloo LOL. Jayden’s teammate. Solid shooter 17 ppg. 2 years left.
Does anyone have any insight on how much Carson and JAR’s foot injuries played into their poor performances? It seems like a really unfortunate coincidence that they both had what I thought were serious foot injuries during their senior seasons which may have sapped some quickness from otherwise promising players.
Maybe we know someone who can put in a good word for us.
Sad to see Carson go but I understand leaving. Thought for sure he would play a large role as shooters are so valuable in Tonys system. I will continue to root for that young man.
33% from 3 this year. Seems to be more in the bucket getter category, which is fine ha. TX native, wonder if he wants closer to home.
Least surprising news of the transfer season. It’s all good though. Hopefully he lands someplace well. Actually pretty curious to see what he does.
Man that sucks that Carson is leaving, and I hope that TB will now recruit another athlete at the 3/4 spot who can play defense, block shots, rebound etc. etc. If he can shoot that would be AMAZING, but if not then those other attributes are a must for a foundational player.
World gone mad. this is incredible
Redundant with Milicic and Traudt but this name gave me a little PTSD
Take him and stash him in a D-1 – Intramural 2-way contract. He can’t be on the open market.
Ate us alive. Might be worth a look.
I kind of think our sweet spot with the current rules is grad transfers or guys with 2 or more years left. I.e., either someone who fills a gap for a year, or can develop and grow within the program.
As with everything, the current 5 year eligibility makes all the math way too complicated.
