Dunn at 35 to Spurs. Reece undrafted.
A lot of guys with comments that they could/should exit the draft to build stock.
Hopefully our guys show out and rise. Also KOC’s mocks seem a bit erratic.

Also interesting with the Hawks getting to first pick. I could see them making wholesale moves including shipping Dre out
Reece!! Will play 12 years in the NBA. RD will make lotta money quick but lets see if he improves where he needs to. I think he will
Givony has Ryan as the first pick in the 2d round, so probably still guaranteed territory. Reece undrafted, but as some point out with a good agent that’s better than being a late second round pick with a terrible landing spot.
Both those spots feel right for those guys. RD gonna need to land right to find a place that will help him develop. Reece getting to call his shot could be huge for him. Last thing he needs us getting drafted to play with the chuckle crew down in Charlotte
Sam Vecenie has him in the same spot in his post lottery mock
Bleacher Report has Dunn at 41. His shot or lack of has cost him a lot of money
If he shot 45% from 3, would he be #1?
Even 30% might have put him in the top 10 or so.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Dunn drops out of the draft and transfers to a school that will help hone his offensive game. He doesn’t need another year of learning defense, and Tony’s 80% defense practices ain’t going to move the needle.
UPDATE: Forgot about the portal deadline, carry on.
He didn’t enter the transfer portal. He’s going pro.
He could still transfer.
How?
Can he if he didn’t go into the portal? I don’t think so.
I think this is probably all moot, anyway. He’s got like a 95% chance of getting a multi year, million plus guarantee. Not what he hoped for a few months ago, but still not too shabby. And still decent chance of jumping into the low 20s where he can make double that or so.
And he’s vastly exceeding the expectation that a typical HS #130 (247 composite) player would have.
If he hired a agent can he still tranfer? They change the rules so much i don’t even know. I know at one time if you hired a agent you couldn’t return to college basketball.
Dunn can’t transfer because he didn’t enter the Portal, hiring an agent has nothing to do with it. Guys who want to keep their options open declare for the draft and enter the Portal simultaneously. The Portal window closing deadline applies to everyone, draft early entrants included.
Transferring isn’t gonna help that shot lmao. That’s after practice shots and work! Great players don’t just rely on practice shots which is around 20-60 shots give or take. After practice when you get in the hundreds is where you work on it.
Yeah maybe Dunn could have found a school that would feature him more on offense and get him easier looks, but he’d still have to learn to shoot FTs, make open jumpers, drive and finish. He’d also risk having a down year defensively in a different system. It’s all moot cause he can’t transfer and he’s staying in the draft and it’s probably the best decision
Agree with the Dunn is gone group. 1) he doesn’t have a choice. 2) it would be a poor business decision to return to college at any school. What program is going to “feature” a guy who’s splits are 50/25/50? A year being featured is only a way to get exposed and picked apart by every scout for the next 9 months. Dunn will go into the league hopefully be a high 2nd round pick and land someplace where he can get a ton of run in their system and develop real-time experience that finds him a contributor on a roster when his second deal comes around.
