That sounds like BS. How can a contract between Odom and VCU put UVa on the hook for playing games against VCU?
I feel like that is typical of the VCU buyouts. Played Texas and LSU in Richmond per the buyouts.

Very much not BS. VCU puts that clause in every contract for their coaches in case they get poached.

I was at the UMBC game. Odom kicked our ass. Hopefully he can do the same to the rest of the ACC.
With NIL and the portal, a coach is only as good as his budget to some extent. Let’s see if we can keep the purse strings open long enough to survive this era, until the era of player contracts and a player’s union begins

I suffered thru it too in some of the best seats I have ever had at that arena.
I am optimistic about Odom but not looking forward to the endless references to that horrible game during telecasts next year.
