When I was a young soccer ref (probably 14?) working a tournament as an AR, I had an orange peel thrown at me on the sideline for an offsides call. I didn’t last much longer.

I get that there were probably a lot of extenuating circumstances in this situation, but not retaining Kyle seems like a missed layup for Odom.

lol well sure, i guess we can’t 100 percent say it’s true. So we default to blaming Odom for not retaining him when we have a source (hgn who we all literally pay for his insight) saying otherwise? Seems weird

Probably wanted a recruiting position, not end-of-the-bench or desk job.
We’re out of recruiting positions (and UVa might require a degree for such a position anyway).
I hope whoever he gets to fill the last bench coach role has ACC experience. Only one right now is Odom — seven years at VPI, one NCAAT, so he knows how to be on the wrong side of the bubble in the ACC….(Aldrich had a GA year at Wake 30 years ago, maybe; I’ve seen conflicting reports on that.)
