Your post would suggest that adding one of the players we’re involved with this spring and reducing our needs in 2021 would be advantageous in the long term given the current situation. Would you agree with that and do you feel now that it’s more likely that we take someone this spring than you did a couple of weeks ago?

Yeah it would advantageous long term to fill one now. Assuming you get a quality player obviously. I didn’t think of that. It’s a good point. The thing is I don’t think they see Murphy or Wertz as filling those spots. They’re more like potential transfer insurance.

Off topic but I read on another board that Murphy favors Nova. That’s the only place I’ve seen it and I’m not sure how reputable the source would be. Any thoughts?

I don’t know that I’d take that as he’s actually seriously considering them all probably just that he’s gotten offers from them. Parents like to be proud of their kids, probably just wanted to put all or a bunch of the offers on the edit.

I asked Houston Wilson, covers the region for Prep Hoops. He said Villanova has been on him quietly for a while. They were expecting it. His first high major offer. Nova had been evaluating a bunch of '21 PGs, some highly rated. He’s the first they’ve offered. Good for him. I get asked about him a lot from local people there, lots of UVA fans in the area.
