I guess. Just a mom proud of her son.

True. Good point. Thought it was from the kid.

I also want to say I agree with you. My parents would have done the same I’m sure.

He goes to Highland that has a solid team and the competition they play is pretty solid. D-2 VISAA usually has solid talent especially Blue Ridge. (Mamadi and Aamir)

Angelo Brizzo can ball. He would be a good pick for us and UVA is interested.

I visited my grandma in Rock Hill SC during college and we would go to the grocery store and every time we checked out she would tell the cashier “this is my grandson Douglas. He plays basketball for the University of Virginia”. they deserve to be proud but man was that embarrassing for me

Think how much worse it could be if she never expressed pride in you.

seeing the parents and everyone at the games is always very special. In my time they all became friends and lived and died through games and loved all us kids playing like their own. Is very special really and it goes VERY fast

Yea, I have been on both ends of that. I became practically obsessed with my son’s basketball ball and baseball teams. We traveled a lot and all of us parents were good friends and we all loved the kids. It was a special time. I miss it

Is exactly that no matter what level. Great time to experience together

That’s awesome. One of the biggest regrets in my career was my mom never got to see me play rugby when I was at my peak. My contract was overseas and rarely did we stage games stateside. By the time she saw me play stateside it wasn’t the same. I missed that from HS when she made basically every home game.

The coaching staff at North Carolina have been in touch with Brizzi in the past and they check in from time to time, just keeping an eye on him. Virginia’s Coach Getter has been in touch with him a lot, saying that he is on their list of players to watch down the road when they have a chance.

at some point this year, Kansas and Arizona are going to get penalized by the NCAA, they have to, the NCAA has been exposed, therefore, leaving us with UCLA and Marrquette to compete. I like our chances here very much…

Never. Going. To. Happen.

Not in any real or significant way.

They’ll get hit eventually. But for recruiting the cloud of uncertainty is the worst punishment. Once it’s resolved, there’s no impact on the kids being recruited, only current players. Say Arizona is given a post-season ban tomorrow. They’d accept it for next season, and 2021 recruits wouldn’t care at all. I don’t want the programs hammered anyway, just the guilty coaches.

Right now, I am unsure. The new version of the infractions committee (whatever it’s new name), which was created as a result of the Rice Commission, is intriguing. Theoretically, it’s members will have no connection to the NCAA. Hopefully, there will be the reduced chance, or perception, of a conflict of interests in the adjudication of the charges. All this remains unknown for now, but we all live in hope, don’t we?
