Isaiah Abraham is better than Darren Harris. I was about to be like “How does Darren Harris already have a Duke offer” and then saw PVI and was like “oh that makes sense”. Also interesting that two of Team Takeover 17U’s better players are both 2024 recruits. DeShawn Harris Smith also seems solid and is probably 100% going to Villanova (another PVI staple).
I wonder next summer if Austin Williford (team takeover 15U I believe) plays up a division and is teammates with Abraham, if that helps us sway Abraham (and Patrick Ngongba) to UVA.

Also wonder if Williford is there for the 15U games and if people will call him out if hes in the stands for 17U games/is that allows @HoozGotNext or can a parent who is a coach watch whatever game they want?
11am games: Edgerrin James Jr is an assist machine. Dont think there is a better passer/assist man (there probably is but his assist numbers are eyepopping compared to many).

On the other team Amani Hansburry is someone I noticed staff follows and he’s essentially a taller more athletic Jayden Gardner with some passing ability/Draymond Green Playmaking but it sounds like Villanova may be recruiting him to be their next center even though they havent offered yet so he gone anyways.

My only concern is if we could successfully play him with Reece next year. He seems like a super good floor general but I expect Reece to be 30MPG his fourth year so any top 50 recruit is going to want more playing time/to play alongside him rather than just behind him.
Hes top 75, not top 50. Huge difference (not really lol). I think he would definitely bite at the chance to take over the program by his second year if he has to sit behind reece for a year.
Chase Coleman has been named the 2021-22 recipient of the Sidney Young Memorial Award (for leadership, spirit, and unselfishness). Essentially, I believe you’re right, however I also suspect that as soon as the staff decides that no other additions will happen, Coleman will get the scholarship. I don’t think it matters whether the season has begun or not. I believe the key element will be whether there is any ongoing recruiting for the coming year, or the prospect that such may take place.
Watching TJ power now for 5 minutes holy hell gimme. His motor is something that is impressing me a lot that doesnt show up in clips. He hustles and he’s fluid. The other team was on a fast break, instead of lagging behidn and walking he chased down the pg from behind and forced a turnover. And then next possesion, nails a contested step back 3. Has had a few deflections as well. Also the hustle to close out on corner 3 shooters and defend that as well. So much more fluid and mobile than Milan.
Edit: man and he’s a good passer (even though his teammates wont cash in those assists). He’s like a Hauser/Braxton Hybrid. He may not be ranked high enough. I did see Baylor’s Director of Player Development retweeting some of TJ Power’s tweets and stuff so it will be interesting to see how big this recruitment becomes.
Went to the UNC board. They were getting excited because they thought Simeon WIlcher, their pg commit, was straight cooking. Turns out they had the wrong jersey number and instead he’s 0-1 and having an awful game LOL. The kid they thought was their pg who is killing it was actually Elijah Gertrude. (#2 is Wilcher, wrong name on the box score. #3 is Getrude who they thought was WIlcher). Also Gertrude looks way taller than 6’3. Looks 6’4/6’5.
No idea of J Willy went but yeah coaches who are attending as parents are supposed to stay in the area their kids are playing. But really, who’s gonna say anything.
