QB stability is huge. Does Morris need shoulder surgery? I always assumed he did when Tony would say stuff about it bothering him the rest of the season. Our crooked helmeted backup could get a ton of spring snaps, which is good.
Some more good publicity for us. If we had beaten Duke, we wouldâve been the Cinderella of college football for the week leading up to the playoff. Too bad.
Hoos are staying loose on Christmas Eve.

I know rumor had been out there but allegedly Taylor has not made decision yet

Donât think heâs part of the gameplan at this point. Would take an 11th hour reversal.
Yep this is what I was alluding to on the JBDragon show earlier this week. Business decisionsâŚ
It was also brought up on our VIP pages early this week. If youâre not a member, thereâs great info worth the look!
He shouldnât play
Love him, thanks for everything. Will root for him on Sundays. Absolutely no reason to play.
Happy for Taylor. Dude balled out all year. Hope we find another physical runner like him.
Is Trell opting out because of NFL or transferring?
Edit: didnât see that he hurt his knee
Hate that these bowl games are treated as house money now but thatâs just the reality.
I mean theyâre pointless.
It sucks from a fan perspective. But I get it.
Seems like ours should be pretty competitive and serious? I think it helps that neither program feels like they are too good for a Gator bowl
The big question for me is what happens when things get tough.
Do players really want to lock-in and be there for the fight.
Itâs just very hard to get up for a game thay doesnât have stakes.
Make cfp smaller? My only thinking on how to get bowl games popping again.
I believe kam isnât making the trip down to the game unless he flys down today.
Wonât stop some of our fans from trashing TE if we lose this. That said, does sound like heâs taking this game seriously which is cool. Just not sure how weâre going to fare without Trell and Taylor.
We took some absolute bowl game shellings under the command of the best to ever do it at UVA.
About 20 or so years ago, when I was a bigger college football fan, I used to argue (with friends mostly) about an 8-team playoff.
One common beef with an 8-team playoff was that the bowls wouldnât matter.
And Iâd say - why do they matter now?
I think I was basically correct then, and the new structure has created more fun games but it has also highlighted the fact that the other games, which to be clear were always meaningless, are now super meaningless.
Not to mention all the financial incentives to not play have increasedâŚ
Iâm probably way off key with the majority, but I think the four team playoff system was actually the right set up.
In any given year, there arenât generally more than two, sometimes three, credible national championship contenders. Expansion since the BCS was partially driven by complaints from the first team(s) left out, but I have never felt that any of them stood much chance of winning out.
So, is the point of the playoffs to crown a valid champion or is it to schedule as many profitable games as possible? I think your answer predicates your preferred size of a national championship playoff.
Nah make it bigger and give up on the bowls
