No. He had 23 receptions for 321 yards and a couple of TDs for the Hoos.
Hold up. Theres a secret handshake?
First rule of secret handshake club…
So you saw what I did there..
Did you play for Tech, Carolina or Duke basketball/lacrosse? There is nothing contradictory about being a Hoo and attending/ playing for another school that isn’t a rival. I’ve never claimed that. But going to a rival is weak and players who love UVA wouldn’t even consider it. And this isn’t just coming from me. Our players from the 90’s are expressing the same sentiment. Ya know, the guys from when UVA football actually meant something.
Also Noah Taylor is not a kid. He is at least 21 years old.
I hope y’all treat your kids this way if they ever go from UVA undergrad to a “rival” grad school
Just wait until Noah Taylor tweets something about “leaving the cave”
What kinda dorks cheer for different grad schools? This is sports, man
I just hope they tell their kids they aren’t Hoos through and through when it happens
Treat them which way? Express mild disappointment that they aren’t as loyal to UVA as I am or that guys like T Cov are? Oh the horror!! How would they ever recover!
For four years Noah Taylor played a sport that could have literally killed him and broke his body down for the University of Virginia. He has put way more on the line for the school than I ever did, and I got two degrees from the school. He paid a pound of flesh for the school and because he has the audacity to transfer to a rival after his coaches left, he is having his character and dedication questioned.
Moving forward I’m basing all my fandom on a schools med school.
Not his character. Went out of the way to say he is (or at least seems like) a good person. Loyalty to UVA is not a character trait lmao if you view him the same as guys like Chris Long and the Moores and Thomas Jones have at it. I do not and I have seen multiple former player express similar sentiments. Which, again, is all I’ve said and never said anything about Noah as a person. There is a strong debate in philosophical circles about whether a strong sense of loyalty is even a positive trait to have as a person.
This 100%
Yeah, it’s sports. You go to play for a rival, you deserve and will receive fan backlash. Let’s not clutch our pearls over this foolishness.
After the McKoy meltdown I don’t think the pearl clutching comes from my end of the debate
Not everybody is going to celebrate Tarheel Taylor. He’s got the right to transfer there, nobody’s saying he can’t. he’s a big boy that can handle the ramifications of that decision. Expecting a going away party by UVA fans is dumb. You can do that if you’d like but I’m not going to. I’ll say thanks for helping beat VT in 19 but I’m actively cheering against him now.
Dead to me
Welp, looks like Bissinger is transferring to SMU. If Olu is as good as gone, we’re down to basically Swoboda being the only somewhat known OL in portal who might return. Guys are going to have to step up.

I think in general that pro sports fans (especially NBA fans) root for or against players and their fandom follows whatever teams they play for. College sports fans root for laundry, regardless of who’s wearing the jersey.
