One annoying thing about transfer portal season, and no offense at all meant to you hooandtrue (you’re just the most plugged in), is every name that gets linked is followed immediately by you telling us who they’re pre-baked to lol.
But with CTB I felt like our transfer pool was very narrow. Might be different under a new coach…?
Yeah our new staff is going to have to hit the ground running to get a foot into some of these recruitments.
Thankfully the tampering party isnt always the landing spot (like 50/50)

Agree, it is going to require some high level salesmanship as there are so many unkowns. We lose whatever grease we got from having a renowned coach but we also lose whatever stigma there was from the system we ran. We still have the challenge of no free passes on academics but we also will have deeper pockets. How much of Tony’s narrow pool was self inflicted versus the perception of UVa as a landing spot. We are about to find out.
In digital transformation we would refer to the point we are at as “the messy middle”. Can’t wait to get to the other side but who knows what really awaits us there.

I know it’s not technically the portal, but am also watching decommits from these schools that could maybe be late adds.
For example Joshua Lewis decommitted from Iowa and would be a nice guy to add as an athletic 3/4.
