FACTS. I want tu know why they see this happening. AS you can see up here. Fans love TB more than they love themselves. He be a fool tu leave.

IU fired his sister. I don’t think he’s forgotten.

No reason to go to another school and start over since he’s got everything he wants here and a fanbase who loves him.

I think CTB was a little closer to UCLA than we would like to admit but we won a natty and closed that door

I know he got tossed around there. But like I’d said id take all bets and odds on potential ncaa schools for ctb. He’s got what every coach wants.

Yeah I know him

Music to my ears! I would tend to agree but it appears they have a plan or they wouldn’t have paid off Miller. Sounds like they are going to throw it all at Stevens and hope!

I don’t see why Stevens would leave the NBA. Would need to be record breaking amount of money for any level of basketball.

I can’t think of the last successful NBA coach who voluntarily left to take a college job.

It’s home for one! However, not sure either! Of course I can also see why coaches get burnt out in the NBA.

Guards who can both dribble and shoot please

Amen brother!

Reece Beekman, Seth Lundy, Trey Murphy, Aamir Sims, Dawson Garcia. That’s our starting line up next year.

Bench unit: Kihei, Jabri (if he stays)/Casey (If he stays), Carson/Taine, McKoy, Kadin. Jonas Aidoo redshirts to get muscle.

Indeed. Imagine Reece paired with a decent shooting guard or a big man w a back to the basket game. Not just shooters who chill out beyond the arc

I really do like Lundy and Garcia!

I’m gonna say it. I wonder how the year-end conversation will go between Kihei and Bennett. He’s got to see that his minutes may be potentially less than what he’s used to. Could he transfer somewhere closer to home? Just a thought.

I’ve thought the same.

I don’t think either is likely to happen, but would think it more likely that Reece were to transfer than Kihei.

I do worry about Tony burning out. I am not worried about him going to another school, but burnout or the NBA? Yes.

The grind of recruiting and making nice with donors, and criticism from dopes on the internet (self included) has to get tiring. I hope he keeps things in better focus than his dad was able to. Tony is beloved and he is making a difference in kids’ lives. I hope he knows it.

The NBA, frankly, other than the attraction of only having to coach I admit I don’t get it. Beilein was in a great town at a great school making great money and was beloved. The NBA threw him out in five minutes and called him a racist to boot. But Beilein got sick of the constant grind and stress of trying to piece together a winning roster. And wanted to try the NBA.

Tony has worked miracles, I hope he doesn’t get burnt out in a similar fashion.

That’s really the draw. All you do is coach. None of that other outside stuff that takes up 2/3s of your time in college. You get summers off instead of traveling to hot gyms around the country watching 16-17 year olds.

I was listening to an interview with Brad Stevens where he said one thing he enjoyed a lot was that driving home after practice, all he had to do was drive. Didn’t have to call any recruits or boosters while driving. Didn’t miss that life at all.

You read interviews with Bennett about why he came to Virginia and one aspect was the chance to compete against the best. For example, “When I got here, I wanted the chance to compete in the ACC against North Carolina and Duke and these storied programs and these great coaches,” he said. http://blog.eastbay.com/team/all-in-the-family-the-story-of-the-bennett-family-coaching-tree/

The NBA is the next challenge to prove himself against the best. He’s 51-52 now. If he makes the jump it’ll be in the next few years while he’s still young enough to have enough time to build up to his vision. He can be choosy about what job he would take, but if a team with good ownership and a supportive front office and players he could work with came calling, I think he makes the leap.

Bennett loves this, fwiw. His complaint is that they don’t let him do it enough.

How’s TB gunna run a nba team on his 5 pillars? I just don’t see him going to coach in the nba especially with how much he talks about loving Charlottesville.
