Somewhat of a sidebar but I keep I keep thinking about how much we miss Badocchi (or what he could have been I guess). He wouldn’t have solved any of the offensive problems, but man could he have assuaged some of our defensive woes

Tu, you did say it would be the wild, wild west. At this point, UVa is a buyer because by my count we still have two open scholarships (assuming Keels does not commit to Virginia on 4/2). Any additional transfers from our team (and I expect 1, perhaps 2, but no more) and more than 1 transfer become a luxury. Uva can reach for one of the attractive transfers now and hold to see what else comes along. But until we are out of the NCAA, there will be no action. PS - I still really like Aidan I’s upside - he can be a monster if his health issues are in the past.

Would you say Seth Lundy is more a 2 or a 3? Would be the perfect long shooting guard at the 2.

Figured as much. Watching his film I was like “Oh another trey murphy but a little more muscular and more mobile at putting it on the floor”. Since he is 6’6 I was hoping shooting guard but I can see him as a small ball 4.

After watching, isn’t he sorta what we had hoped for with McKoy?
I think McKoy is more a glue guy who can develop into a Gill type year 4 or 5. Lundy is more of a guard. Reminds me of Alabama/G League Braxton Key.

Yeah offensively and strength wise he is a 3 who can handle pretty well and looks to be able to shoot bit. Defensively don’t know yet. Hopefully he can guard smaller as he seems pretty quick and therefore we could immediately put him on the perimeter.

I remember this being someone I wanted us to recruit more out of HS. Had an okay year at notre dame and then transferred to Vandy. Hope it works out for him.

I SAID IT!!! Schools could lose or gain an entire new team. This transfer rule is crap and Yall know Im an advocate for young people and college players. It is going tu be harder tu coach and you will see alot more mid year transfers. What kills me is all the good players on Penn State team. Speaking of Penn State. Keep an eye out for Myles Dread. I also think people have tu be careful with the media saying contacting a player. It doesn’t mean they are being recruited by that school. Most of the time, schools are getting a read on that player and deciding if that player will fit, help and possibly attend the school. It doesn’t mean a school is recruiting that player when it say contact.

Why is it crap though? Athletes in most sports have been able to transfer without sitting out for a long time. Hasn’t ruined those sports or sent those kids on a bad path. Basketball coaches need to put their big boy pants on and earn the handsome salaries they are paid.
This seems to punish a lot of good coaches though. Put in the work to develop a player over three years. Boom transfers to a bigger program. Main beneficiary of this are the Dukes and Kentucky’s of the world
