Come on now. Jaxel was put in this role because of a lack of arms available a couple weekends ago and had two very solid starts in a row. He’s looked bad today but let’s not act like the coaching staff is insane for starting him.

There were other options, but staff decided to run them out during the midweek game in relief roles. And, once again, Jaxel is getting lit up.
Has Jay already pitched this weekend? I’ve been in and out on time to watch… he didn’t just go out to the pen with the rest of the relievers.
He pitched in the midweek game vs. ODU.

Again why would the staff start someone else when Jaxel over the past two weekends had gone 10 IP and only allowed 3 ER’s.
I understand he’s been shit today but let’s not needlessly blame the staff for not seeing into the future lol.

Friday/Saturday guys for them are both freshman, guy today was a Jr. transfer from Elon. Surprised the last guy isn’t their ace but I know Knapp who was supposed to be their Friday guy this season is out for the year so they’ve had to scramble a bit.

Could go either way there, would lean not bunting because you’re moving two runners while down 3 runs and you can’t trust this bullpen to hold them where they are despite the past two games. But we’ll see how it plays out.
