Are you sure? So, basically his options are block the shot or get out of the way?
Hmm, looks like defenders have to be in position before the offensive player plants his foot to go airborne. No idea what it was before the rule change.
That call was so farting bad Iām still pissed about it
Haha! If memory serves most of JPJ felt the same way.
Rule 4, Section 12, Article 1 defines a charge as: Duke doesnāt do it, but everybody does it against Duke.
You mean, the guy whose people were reaching out to other schools while he was getting 25 minutes per game before Christmas?
Good freaking riddance.
shots fired!
Tarleton State is whooping Florida International on the road tonight, FWIW, up 17 with about six minutes to play.
Tarleton committed 26 TOs and still won handily. Thatās wild.
Looks like Jakorie Smith went nuts. Did anyone remember Isiaih Thomas coached FIU? I sure didnāt
My powers of recall can be shaky, but I feel like @WFS_HOO didnāt used to post very many hyperbolic and fatalistic one-line posts.
Again, I may be misremembering but seems to me that persona surfaced as a response to the rise of negative posts during the down (relatively speaking) years post-NC.
As such, I have always read these posts as satirical and so usually take them as a reminder that we are fortunate (or fucked if you prefer) to root for a successful program of integrity. Many other fans have to settle for one, the other, or neither.
I appreciate you @WFS_HOO ; your servanthood fills me with thankfulness.
You sir must have served in some capacity reading morse code or some such and I think your memory may be correct
I forgot to look this up earlier this week, but that win over Tarleton State was our first time playing them - so that is another new pelt on the wall! I have removed them from the below list.
It looks like our schedule affords us a couple more opportunities for new pelts. As far as I can tell, weāve never beaten Texas A&M or Texas Southern either. So this season is all about new Texas pelts.

So we had beaten Chaminade and Baltimore County previously(?). Did not know
I think we beat Chaminade in Maui in the Gillen era.
KenPom might track non-steal turnovers at the team level (which includes offensive fouls, turning the ball over out of bounds), but Iām not a subscriber so I donāt know for sure.
He did have an interesting post recently on the impact of the charge rule: The charge is dead and the game is good - by Ken Pomeroy
Offensive fouls are down 32% from last year and 38% from the 2021 season. Thatās it. Thatās the story of the start to this season.
Iāve seen some skepticism about whether officials will continue to call it this way the rest of the season. Last season, the notorious flopping rule was called somewhat aggressively early in the season only to be gradually phased out by March.
But the charge rule is a little different. For one thing itās more of an actual rule than a gimmick. On some level, one could understand officials not wanting to award a team a free point in the NCAA tournament because an opponent may have flopped. But there should be no such fear here. This is the rule. Thereās not an obvious excuse to fall back to the way things used to be. But time will tell and we will keep tracking it.
This is cool man. Somehow I was on the team that lost to New Orleans
Sounds like this is the year to take on Sparty in the Dance!
Interesting. Iāve been using the below as my reference. It does show us actually having three wins over UMBC but it doesnāt list any results against Chaminade. Iām guessing because they arenāt D1? But that seems like an oversight on their part. May have to dig into it and look for some other sources too.
Non-Division I opponents on p. 72.
