I like a villain too, but Louisville needs to avoid more shadiness and steer clear of sanctions for a while. ACC needs them to stop being mediocre. I don’t know that the NCAA is going to be really cracking down on much of anything anymore, but if they have one last hurrah, it might be trying to take out Wade given how he basically has just given them the middle finger.
We’re just getting rid of the biggest villain the game has ever seen. I could stand a few years off before adding another.

I don’t see a scenario where Louisville brings on Pearl or Wade unless they want what limited power the NCAA has left coming down on them. If they want to go that route then just hire Pitino back.
This won’t happen but I’d love to see Louisville and Maryland swap conferences so we can actually have two real “rivals” per the ACC bball scheduling. That said, it’s been great beating down Louisville since they joined the conference.

PS - it will be Pearl. Louisville knows no shame, has an atmosphere that is more than tolerant of ignoring rules, and wants more than anything to win, especially at b-ball in KY. And has donors that are as equally deep pocketed and just as crazed as KY donors.

Wasn’t Forbes part of the crew that got torpedoed by Pearl? That could be fun. My memory/knowledge might be off, but I think Forbes got a show cause after the BBQ thing when Pearl got let off easier…
