JPJ is the Field Of Dreams for half court shots. Itās magical.
Teams are a combined 15/27 from 3. UVA is blowing them out, but what is even happening? Neither team can miss outside.
D looking a little more engaged.
Donāt think Iāve ever seen face mask guarding face mask before
Wow. Good thing UVA built up a huge lead, because the wheels are totally coming off.
Edit - Fordham press is giving Cuse flashbacks. UVA hasnāt scored in 7 minutes?
UVA eventually figured things out and won by 26, though theyād led by as much as 38. Huge game by Mo, 10/13 including 6/7 from 3.
8-3 in the noncon means we have to go 7-11 in conference play in order to finish with a .500 record and be eligible for the WNIT. (Or we could go 6-12 and win two ACCT games.)
Iām guessing weāll be favored in 3-4 games, minor underdogs in 3-4 games, and major underdogs in the other 10-12⦠something like that (this is not a formal analysis). Such a brutal schedule. Weāre gonna make it though!
Massey Ratings basically agree with your assessment of the schedule: Massey Ratings - University of Virginia Cavaliers/Wahoos
The poll voters may think Iām slightly optimistic. We have 9 games against currently ranked teams, and 4 more games against teams āalso receiving votes.ā
Yeah, a little over 2/3 of their remaining games are against, at a minimum, tournament-quality teams. Going .500 against that schedule should (but probably wouldnāt) get them into āothers receiving votesā territory, if not actually ranked.
The poster is amazing
I appreciate her scheduling this for the offseason. Thatās commitment!
Mir getting closerā¦

Lots and lots of clips of half court threes. They either need to start shooting those in games, since they make a few, or start posting practice clips of shooting regular threes since they make next to none of those.
Good to see Mir on the court again regardless.
The latest ESPN bracketology lists Clemson as the ACCās automatic qualifier (coming in as a 12-seed). So thatās a bold prediction.
Fingers crossed Iāll get to see them play Thursday at GT if we can get a sitter
10 ACC teams! Clemson as aq because theyāre the current conference leaders? But then again, why not FSU? Bold prediction indeed.
Yeah, they just applied a lazy algorithm for the AQ, it looks like. (Conference record, then alphabetical?)
More likely, the ACC gets 9 teams in (which is still a lot!), with Clemson nowhere even close. If we do get a 10th team in, GT is probably the closest to the bubble (no bad losses yet), with Virginia next in line.
So far so good!
Cam needs to not pick up any more dumb fouls though. We canāt afford to sit her.
