Weâve been struggling and I know that winning is ultimately the goal, but man I am so happy for the players. They are so much happier/ they were so depressed during the Tina years. The culture being built, no foundation from a psyche point of view, is incredible. And hopefully that, with JPJ facilities and UVA history will help build the program even further over the years

I assume thatâs the purpose of the silly half-court-shot practice that we like to make fun of. Mox is just making sure that the game remains fun, spirits high, which is a big deal when youâre in a losing streak with a bunch more top 25 teams on the horizon.

And itâs hard because the talent gaps are even more enormous in womens bball. And the ACC womens bball is what the ACC mens bball used to be.
Very much an uphill battle. I think my original goal was make the NIT in year 3 and the tournament in year 4. If we make a post season tournament this year, its already way beyond my expectations.

You know whatâs a good way for playersâ spirits and sustained buy-in? Improving in meaningful ways that generate real on-court progress. If your program isnât getting better and becoming more competitive, then at some point all the fun off court isnât enough; it needs to be replaced with the fun of winning.

Hey now, they have the same reaction to a lay up in practice as they do a half court shot. Iâm beginning to think those reactions might not be genuine.

Its brutal they are basically in the WBB version of SEC football. 2 legit title contenders paired with a dangerous ND and a smattering of tourney teams.

UNC gets away with a lot that would be fouls on Cam
Familiar storyline. Slow start gives up a ~8 point margin, that becomes roughly the margin all game, then we get desperate and crazy late.

Does anyone know if Mir McLean is still planning on coming back this season? With only 13 regular season games left, Iâd rather she come back for a full year next year instead. Unless of course her plan is to graduate and get on with post-college life regardless of whether she uses up her eligibility.

ND wins 86-76. Wasnât able to watch but apparently the refs had Mox fuming, ND shot 44 FTâs.
Iâd be pissed too tbh, thatâs an absurd amount of foul calls.
