This team is not comfortable with trapping and full court pressure. Playing good defense down the stretch though.

We ran some really fun zone buster sets that makes me excited for Mox’s future here. Play has been ugly at times but she’s got plenty in her bag in terms of X’s and O’s.

Wow. White-hot shooting of course, but what a great win. Debbie Ryan looked like she enjoyed what she saw.
Makes the Pitt game more perplexing, but you’ll take a bad L for these last two Ws every time when you’re trying to build excitement around the program.
Random website I looked at made it seem like they could still make the NIT, which would be a great opportunity at this point.

They tried it for a couple quarters against Pitt. I wouldn’t say it worked well but it did seem to throw Pitt off a bit.
We did shoot lights out, but I don’t want to dismiss the win as nothing more than a statistical anomaly. We finished 11-19 from three, when normally we’d hit 6-19, so that’s a 15-point benefit from the hot shooting. Take that away entirely, and we still played even with the #20 team in the country. (And again, without Cam.) It was a great all-around game… after the first quarter.
