We have got to start figuring out ways to get Jayden and Igor facing up there man at the elbow. I don’t like Igor as a mover.

To the NBA. Fluid guys his size don’t need much offense. Fairly confident he’ll follow the normal trajectory of our bigs and explode around the 1,000 career minute mark. After his 5th year he’ll be ready for the league.
Yea I’d bet on leaving after his 5th year. But much much more likely he’s ready a year early than a year late imo.

Reece driving and missing bothers me, if he’s showing no other discernible offensive ability. He’s really shown no aptitude to score at any level, which is sad because his HS tape suggested otherwise. His percentages are Morsell bad, or worse.
He’s a great defensive player, but we really need an offensive boost from him.

This is the main negative takeaway from tonight. Beekman simply has to be more of offensive threat. The sagging off and daring him to shoot, then him chucking up straight bricks was pretty embarrassing. At least Kihei is giving us a few threes here and there.

What’s going on with Taine?
- another missed evaluation on a guard/wing
- he can contribute but did something to be in Tony’s doghouse
- he can contribute but Tony is mucking up the lineups
- this will be fine; it’s early; Haney should be patient (nah, you be patient!)
(I’d build a poll but that seemed complicated)
Tbh, I’m not sure there’s a good option here…

I think Tony needs to play Taine, Carson, and Igor as much as he can. There’s no reason Kody should get those minutes. Kody is only a threat win he has 10 feet of room and 2 seconds to set his feet and shoot.

Brain says he’s probably struggling in practice, most likely on defense and it’s a little worrisome that he’s not playing. Heart says it’s still really early

Staying with ball handling as the issue. Maybe they’ve moved on from the Taine as a 4 experiment and still don’t trust him to handle the ball as a mover.

Takeways from advanced stats through game 5:
- Igor simply needs to play more.
- Kadin needs to stay out of foul trouble. The drop off to Caffaro is enormous.
- Armaan hasn’t shot well but he’s still damn good.
- Gardner’s defense is an issue.
- Kihei has not played well.
- …respect to him, but why exactly is Poindexter playing?

Providence is going to be an interesting challenge tomorrow. Much better team than Georgia. Hopeful for more Carson and Igor minutes, and less Kadin fouls.

The last 9 minutes of this game looked more like UVA basketball than anything i have seen this yr. Forced shot clock violations, tenacious D on the perimeter, and Shed erasing shots down low. I think we held them to 4 buckets during this stretch.
