He played less because Jacari was playing very well, and is actually more lightning in a bottle. I mean He still had what 3/3 and a layup, free throws?? He did not play poorly.
The issue is that most of the first string are actually much more suited to play at TBs pace, and then Jacari, Chance and Ugo are more prolific scorers at their position.

One. He had one layup late in the game and finished with 2 pts. I do wish heād look for his own offense a little more from time to time. He can finish well at the rim and is shooting a career high (by a decent amount) FT%

Malik only played 18 minutes yesterday in the 2nd toughest game of the year. By far the lowest of any starter and didnt see the floor the last 3:47. He hasnāt even gotten 20 minutes in any of the last 4 ACC games.
If itās any consolation some of us were mocked early in the season for saying this was a top 15 team but wasnāt playing like itā¦
Any of us who have spent any time here have been mocked, and the reason weāve been mocked is because we often say dumb shit (guilty), so letās just be clear that all you MFers complaining incessantly about @jphat007 have said so much dumb shit and I think if we harped on all the dumb shit you guys have said that would generally make for a terrible thread, too.

Human psychology makes it much simpler to think of negative things to say than positiveā¦ so visceral reactions throughout games and seasons are all going to trend more towards negative thoughts and for said poster to defend negative thoughts to the death.

Exactly and the way this team plays makes for stretches of positive but also stretches of negativeā¦ like for example Iāve lost count of the times Iāve heard commentators say that ends a __ minute stretch of no baskets for the Hoos, yet we still average 82 a game!
Point is emotions can range during a game. Remember if someone is posting here for a an extended period of time theyāre a real fan who just wants the same thing we all do. Each UVA team to reach its max potential and play at that level frequently.
Miami hit a ton of tough shots. Wasnāt luck ā¦ they have some ballers.
I can think of one team that won a natty recently that did not have a dynamic scoring point guard.
