Took care of business. Outside of the sloppiness in the 2nd quarter we played well, 2nd team defense was incredibly stingy in the 2nd half. Beau was near perfect, a misfire on an outroute and an INT that wasn’t really his fault were his only two incompletions. Also thought Holstein and Geer looked solid in relief.
Gotta clean up the tackling a bit next week. WVU isn’t great but their rushing attack is dangerous, their RB Cam Cook is a truck and Rich Rod’s offense is not one that you can let get a bunch of yards after contact.

Supposed to be ok I thought, but NC State obviously out with something to prove.. SP+ has them ahead of a couple of FBS teams and about 14 points better than Norfolk State.

Probably just making excuses but it I thought our 1st defense was trying to take it a bit easier with the tackling and not really going all out. I guess we’ll see vs WVU

I feel satisfied with tonight. It wasn’t perfect but the mistakes are very fixable. I loved seeing a different side of the offense. Its good to know they have options and for a team like WVU that sill spell trouble.
A lot of of guys got real reps tonight amd f9r the most part the level of play remained the same. That’s a massive win for the program that simply couldn’t say that a year or 2 yrs ago.

Only blip last night was the Hammond injury. Mildly concerned about our IDL depth. Not getting Zion eligible sucks even more in hindsight, but maybe they’ll play Moore inside more

Saw Hammond wasn’t in a sling after initially wearing it. Hopefully something minor so we have him back for next weekend

I guess it could still be a torn ligament or something but I’m hoping based on the lack of serious brace that it’s more of a sprain/hyperextension.
