I loved playing at West 4th Street. Of course, I was so bad that they’d only let me play during the off-off-off hours, like 6 a.m. on Sundays. But I also enjoyed standing behind the chainlink fences and watching the real players go at it. Saw Anthony Mason there a bunch of times. Albert and Bernard King, too.

I played in a couple leagues at W4th in like 1994-95. Could shoot from opposite FT line the court was so small. I never liked the sideline microfone guys doing running commentary though hahahah

We have Sat home games against BC, Duke, ND and Lou. Lots of opportunities for visits. Would love to add a couple guys to visit with KK against Duke. I would prefer Freitag/Sorber but we could have AAU teammates Perry/Burgess, the PVI cousins or some combination of Stevenson, Williams or maybe even Ty Davis,

So, if a 2024 prospect isn’t visiting for a game this winter, I imagine that there is one of three reasons for that.
- The prospect isn’t that interested in Virginia (anymore).
- The staff isn’t all that interested in the prospect (anymore).
- The timing of a visit has become problematic.
Reason #3 seems to most likely impediment for a visit, but things change. People move on. We’ve seen the staff effectively end a recruitment before. From a fan’s perspective, you sometimes wonder about all the offers which are outstanding, and how many of them are still valid.
