Refs are not helping us here… Minnesota almost escaped the first quarter with ZERO fouls (fouled us with 5 seconds left).

And they were almost all wide open shots. Maybe let Alexia and Dale shoot threes (they’re at least close) and everyone else takes a break for today.

What they are doing well is emulating the men’s game last night… pounding the paint and feeding Camryn Taylor for easy lay-ups.

That was lucky… but one of these days all the missed FTs will kill us. I did not realize McLean is under 40% on her FTs… that is insane.

This was definitely a “found a way to win when the shots aren’t falling” game. Check those hustle stats: 15 orebs and 16 (!) steals. That plus “just give it to Taylor” was enough to hold a decent lead through most of the game. Had to scare us a bit at the end though…

With the way the league is shaping up they have to get all these wins. Cannot afford to let one slip. Unlike on the men’s side the ACC is sizing up to be formatable and the sloppiness the Hoos have gotten away with so far will be punished
