JMU Game Thread

All podcasts are not equal… the sports one you refer to are normally what you say above… but there are news ones (I don’t normally listen to those), investor ones, economic ones, story ones, almost every genre… I’d recommend trying a more produced one to see the difference…

Didn’t you listen to the one I was on a few years ago?

Also… this one is a good one for economic stuff…

Planet Money is good for your line of work… and they are normally only 15 - 20 minutes long…

One of my favorites is How I Built This… speaks to founders of different companies and how they started, almost failed (they all almost failed), the luck and skill it took to succeed… the Chobani yoghurt guy one recently was a good one… so was the Roku one as I didn’t know that Netflix was a huge reason it was successful as well as it was originally being designed by Netflix… heck all the episodes are good…

Two others I think @DFresh11 would like… as well as more on topic from this group… the first goes into the legal stuff in sports… the second is a retired referee and his perspective on officiating…

In my mind, I heard Dunn replying, “Yo Mama”. But it was probably, “thanks, man.”

Haven’t seen him around Grounds since everyone’s on finals schedule but from what I’ve heard we shouldn’t be too worried, between Ethan Saliba, Mike Curtis, and the 11-day break until Houston I’m hopeful he’ll be in good shape by next Saturday

I’d rather him miss the Houston game than re aggravated the hamstring if it isn’t 100%.

Here’s the story:
I registered, then later while reading threads, the system pops up and suggests that as long as I was spending so much time reading, I should go ahead and register. Now, being old, thought maybe I only thought I had registered. So, then when I tried to register again, it told me Ahooiam was taken. AHA, I really did register. I decided rather than try to figure out why I got that suggestion I would just choose a different name and re-register. I will say I have gotten no more suggestions that I should register.

As far as the name itself: I think of it as A Hoo I Am Seemed to remember something similar by Dr. Seuss (but maybe not )

Something that I meant to bring up after this game. The cancellation of the Northern Iowa game set back IM and, to a lesser extent, Dunn in their development/integration as part of the offense/defense. That was a game where they would have been expected to get significant run and could operate offensively in a situation where a miss or two didn’t count.

Not saying the cancellation wasn’t the right thing, but games like that are important for building confidence in a more stress-free environment letting the player catch up to speed of the game,

@DFresh11 probably has a much better take on this.

I don’t think Dunn is behind at all

Also I’m sure IMac is getting shots up and watching film and is excited to improve. I imagine just having all of that film to look at is so huge for growing your game
